Throughout the year, there will be monthly events and activities for the program participants including:
+ Student orientation meeting at the start of the school year.
+ Twice a week, after-school tutoring and study hall sessions.
+ Field trips to businesses, government facilities, or
educational institutions.
+ College preparation and application counseling sessions
+ On-campus speakers from the community (typically
successful Latino business or professional people).
+ A parent orientation meeting to explain high school
curriculum and the college qualification and application
process
+ Visits to at least 2 - 4 Bay Area colleges
+ Social/athletic events for CIR participants.
+ A year-end recognition event.
